George Burrell was born on December 8, 1821 in Surfleet, Lincolnshire, England.  He immigrated to Canada in the 1850s, settling in Beverley Township in Wentworth County, Ontario in 1854. According to the 1875 county atlas, George owned and ran a general store in the town of Westover.  He was also reported as being a teacher.  Sometime after the 1871 Census, George and family moved from Ontario, showing up in the 1881 census in Emerson, Manitoba.  He died on September 29, 1910 in Greenridge, R.M. Franklin, Manitoba. [1]
 
Agnes Robertson – wife of George Burrell
Agnes Robertson was born around 1824 in Burwich, Scotland.  She was the wife of George Burrell, as well as the mother of George, Margaret, Agnes, Peter, and Charles Burrell.  Agnes died on September 27, 1913 in Greenridge, R.M. Franklin, Manitoba. [2]

George William Burrell was born on November 11, 1857 in Beverley Township, Wentworth County, Ontario.  He married English immigrant Margaret Annie Gertrude Whincup on March 24, 1917 in Thompson, Manitoba.  The Manitoba Historical Society lists George as a Memorable Manitoban. He was Principal of Swan Lake School (1912-1916), Emerson School (1916-1917), and Sanford School (1920) and taught at several rural schools across the province, including Perry School (1886), Newbridge School (1903-1905), Riverton School (1921), Bluff Island School (1922-1923), High Plains School (1929-1931), Cameron School, Mary Hill School, and Cardale School.  George died on May 3, 1941 in Dominion City, Manitoba and was buried in the Green Ridge Cemetery. Margaret Annie Gertrude Whincup – wife of George William Burrell
Margaret Annie Gertrude Whincup was born to Edward and Sarah Ellen Whincup in 1898 in Cawthorne, Yorkshire, England.  She and her sister, Katherine, arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia on January 18, 1914 on board the S. S, Corsican.  She later became the wife of George William Burrell, as well as the mother of George Edward, Margaret Sarah , Dorothy Edith, Agnes Elsie, and Charles James Burrell.  After George died, Margaret remarried and lived in Winnipeg.  She died on December 7, 1980 in Misericordia Hospital in Winnipeg.  Services were held the following Wednesday at the Weston Gospel Church, where Margaret was a member.  The Bardal Funeral Home handled the arrangements.  Margaret was buried in Brookside Cemetery in Winnipeg.  [4]

Margaret "Maggie" Burrell was born on July 23, 1859 in Canada.  She married Charles A. Brown on August 24, 1880 in Greenridge, Manitoba.  Margaret was the mother of William E. Brown.  She died on December 9, 1882. [5]
 
Charles A. Brown – husband of Margaret Burrell
Charles A. Brown was born in 1849.  He was the husband of Margaret "Maggie" Burrell.  After Margaret died, Charles married Eunice Soule.  He lived in southern Manitoba as a farmer until at least 1926. [6]

Agnes J. Burrell was also born on July 23, 1859 in Canada.  She married Robert Kennedy Millar on August 24, 1880, in Greenridge, Manitoba on the same day her twin sister was married.  Agnes was the mother of Agnes, Alexander, George, John, Margret, Martha, Mary, and Robert Millar.  She died on May 16, 1929 and was buried next to her husband in Greenridge United Cemetery. Robert Kennedy Millar – husband of Agnes J. Burrell
Robert Kennedy Millar was born on July 2, 1852.  He was the husband of Margaret Burrell.  Robert was a farmer.  He died on November 25, 1941 in Franklin, Manitoba and was buried in Greenridge Cemetery. [8]
 
2.2.4 Peter Robertson Burrell (Generation 3)

Peter Robertson Burrell was born on March 10, 1861 in Beverley, Ontario.  He died on December 5, 1955 in Kamloops, British Columbia and was buried in Vernon Cemetery, Vernon, B.C.  His death certificate listed him as married but no information regarding his wife has been found at this time. [9]

Charles Edward Burrell was born on May 16, 1865 in Westover, Wentworth County, Ontario.  He married Sarah T. Grier in Dominion City, Manitoba on February 10, 1892.  Charles died on March 17, 1953 in Vernon, British Columbia and was buried in Mount Ida Cemetery, Salmon Arm, B.C. [10]
 
Sarah Taylor Grier – wife of Charles Edward Burrell
Sarah Taylor Grier was born in Brantford, Ontario on January 27, 1866.  She was the wife of Charles Edward Burrell, as well as the mother of Sarah, Agnes, Mary, Charles, and Ruth Burrell.  She died on May 23, 1949 in Salmon Arm, British Columbia. [11]
